B+A Breaking

Alright? Sup? Ni hao? We’re all over the gaff (aka the world) this week, carrying out some research, B+A stylee. How are you all doing? Well? Business good? The family good? Let us know, we wanna hear. No really, hit us up – tell us what’s going on y’all – we don’t do one-sided relationships.

Welcome to B+A Bulletin 95. Let’s do this…

B+A Brilliance

This show opens in the early 1960’s at the height of the Civil Rights movement and its dreams of integration. In its wake emerged more militant calls for Black Power: a rallying cry for African American pride, drawing inspiration from newly independent African nations. Special shout out to Emory Douglas who worked as the Minister of Culture for the Black Panther Party from 1967 until the Party disbanded in the 1980s. Douglas created images that became icons, representing black American struggles during the 1960s and 1970s. Catch it until 22nd October 17.

P.S. If you haven’t already, check out the Black Pather doc on Netflix – well worth a watch!

B+A Books etc.

As well as being an author in his own right, our lovely friend Maurice Collins (see B+A Bulletin #51) has an enormous collection of business books. A handful at a time, he’s giving them to us at B+A. This one took our fancy (and I think Andrew’s packing it for his 3 week trip to LA from Saturday) –  Edward K. Strong’s 1925 classic ” Psychology of Selling and Advertising”.

B+A Big Up

Guess what? Sandra Schembri  our friend and Chief Encouragement Officer of The House of St Barnabas, was named Change Maker of the Year for her leading role in the creation of an employment academy. The EA offers training, work experience and real job opportunities to people who have been affected by homelessness. She certainly doesn’t like to shout about her achievements, but we do – big up yourself Sandra.

B+A Babble

Sooooo, https://www.insectlore.com have a great idea. You can buy from them a box with caterpillars, a net-home and all you need to create a live butterfly garden. Watching them develop, grow and metamorphosise in the last couple of weeks has been entertaining than either D Trump Jr’s emails or UK TV’s Love Island (lol jk).

B+A Bye…

That’s all for this week folks. As ever, be good or don’t get caught. Catch ya same time, same place next week yah?

Love, Team B+A x
