B+A Breaking

‘Sup Bulletin readers.

Oh that? That Poster? Just a little something some PDXrs created in response to this reddit thread. (Spoiler: someone parked there car in someone else’s spot). Gotta keep Portland love strong with the drama high in these ridiculous times.

Let’s dip in to this week’s content, yea?

B+A Babble

B+A Big Up

I know, I know. There’s a million free ways to get your sweat on right now, but not all of them are entertaining for little ones! Our beloved Basketball team, the Portland Trailblazers, are hosting daily PE classes! Intended for the kids stuck at home, they follow along with Trail Blazer’s mascot, Blaze the Trail Cat, as he goes through heart-rate-rising activities. The classes stream on the Blazers Community IG page M-F at 10am.

B+A Books etc.

My friend and Sound Designer extraordinaire, Ben WIlliams, has just launched his podcast & website for experimental audio. It’s called, category : other. What is experimental audio, you ask? “by definition, these works defy easy classification – they include audio poetry, performance essays, sonic art, and meditations. others exist somewhere between audiobooks and radioplays. and some I don’t really know what to call…” It’s all designed completely and 100% for your headphones.

Ben has collaborated with many NYC artists, actors and writers to create an array of auditory pleasures. All the work is made available free by donation, with all proceeds going directly back in to production. It’s all very cool and worth a Covid-dig.

B+A Brilliance

And speaking of VERY cool experimental audio, B+A is coming at you again with our new track: B+A Quarentine Anthem. Queen Adesuwa designed this activity for us (she also single-handedly wrote and produced this banger) in which the entire team wrote and recorded in less than an hour!

Yea yea, it’s a bit shonky, but for such time constraints, we are proud of our head-bopping tune. And it was SO MUCH FUN. (Remember fun?) Check our B+A Soundcloud here!

B+A Bye…

We know it’s strange our here, but we also know you’re doing your very best to stay focussed on your goals and positive about where you’ll be on the other side of all of this. Reach out to your community when you need, and go inward when you need.

Remember: there’s no right way to quarantine. You’re being the best you can be.

All the love,
Robi and Team B+A
